Open CollectionEve

CollectionEve on desktop: the Collections home with the headline “Continue from your next action” and a single “Create your first collection” button.

The problem

Projects rarely stall because people forget the goal.

They stall because coming back costs too much. Notes, tasks and messages hold fragments, and every return begins with rebuilding where things stood. The heavier that rebuild, the longer the project waits.

Purpose

Make returning effortless.

CollectionEve is for people with projects — freelancers, creators, students, independent professionals. It does not try to manage everything. It keeps the context that lets you continue.

The core experience

Open a collection and the briefing is already there.

Each collection opens on a short resume briefing: the current situation, and the one next thing. The example below is built into the product and clearly marked as not saved.

An example collection, “Moving house”, open as a sheet over the home: its status is “Ready to act”, followed by the resume briefing with the current situation and the one next thing, and a single “Create my collection” button.
The same example on a phone, laid out as a single column.
The CollectionEve home on a phone: the headline, one primary button and the storage notice.

Design decisions

Five decisions that shaped it.

  1. Two fields, not a task system.

A collection asks for its current situation and the one next thing. Anything more would make the briefing slower to read than the context it replaces.

  2. One primary action per screen.

The empty home offers “Create your first collection” and nothing that competes with it. Search, filters and settings are present but quiet.

  3. Local first, account by choice.

Records are saved on the device and the product works without an account. Optional sync adds continuity across devices; JSON backup keeps the data portable.

  4. Say plainly what can be lost.

The storage notice explains that clearing browser data or private browsing can erase unsynced records, and points to backup. Trust starts with accurate copy.

  5. Its own expression.

Warm ivory and serif-rich Korean typography belong to CollectionEve, not to NCJK. The products share behaviour and grammar; each keeps its own face.
